Federal Court hears Angola Stripclub case

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WOWO): The fight over a proposed stripclub in Angola continues. The owners of the club are asking U.S. District Court to prevent the ordinances that limit adult businesses in the city.

Owners are asking for an injunction because the ordinances were created after the city learned of plans to open the club. According to court documents, attorneys for the business claim its a violation of free speech and its a financially harmful for them to wait to open.

Attorneys for the city, say the club owners have to right to open at the location and owners could still open in Steuben County.

The city argues the owners bought the property and performed work before obtaining permits and other approval. The case has been continued until November.
