Fatal Motorcycle Crash

FORT WAYNE, Ind (WOWO): A man is dead after an early morning motorcycle crash.

This morning just before 2:30 A.M., Fort Wayne Police were called to the intersection of Clay St. and E. Wayne St. on a report of an accident involving a motorcycle.

Once officers arrived on the scene they found the motorcycle rider, Jason Gnagey, unconscious and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to initial reports, a resident in the area heard the crash, then saw the motorcycle rider down and called 911.

Investigators believe that the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on E. Wayne St., and are treating this as a hit-skip accident. Evidence was found indicating that possibly a truck or an SUV was involved in the accident, but at this time it is unclear to what extent.
