MERCER COUNTY, Ohio (WOWO): Mercer County Sheriff’s Department, is investigating a fatal accident that occurred on Friday Afternoon. Around 2:40 p.m. Friday afternoon, 911 dispatch received multiple calls regarding a collision on US 127 and Brown Road.

Joshua Burns, 37, of New Bremen was driving northbound on US 127 in a 2015 Isuzu box truck. Burns went left of center for an unknown reason. He crossed into the southbound lane and hit a 2005 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Aaron Rose, 40 of Celina. The impact of the crash caused the Suburban to go through the guard rail and then roll onto its side. Rose was pronounced dead on the scene. Lutheran Air transported Burns to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. The accident remains under investigation.
