Family of Indiana Woman who Vanished in 2001 Plan Gathering

RICHMOND, Ind. (AP): Relatives and friends of a Richmond woman who vanished 14 years ago will remember her life Sunday during a gathering in the eastern Indiana city.

Marilyn “Niqui” McCown was 28 when she was last seen on July 22, 2001, at the coin-operated laundry in Richmond. No trace was found of McCown despite an intensive investigation in Richmond and in Dayton, Ohio, where her car was found months later in an apartment building's parking lot.

McCown left behind a daughter who was 8 at the time.

The Palladium-Item reports (http://pinews.co/1MrbSnt ) that McCown's family will hold a celebration of her life Sunday afternoon at Richmond's Glen Miller Park.

The family asks that anyone who has information about her disappearance to contact the Richmond Police Department, at 765-983-7247.
