FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Financial aid professionals all over the state will help college-bound students file FAFSA in a single afternoon this weekend.

There will be 42 sites in Indiana participating in College Goal Sunday. IPFW will be hosting the event at 2 p.m. Feb. 21 in Neff Hall at 2101 E. Coliseum Boulevard, Fort Wayne.

FAFSA is required for students to be eligible for federal and state grants, scholarships and student loans. The application, which must be filed by March 10 for Indiana residents, is often perceived to be complicated and time consuming.

“Far too often families don’t know who to ask for help with their FAFSA,” said Bill Wozniak, co-chair of College Goal Sunday. “This event helps families across the state file the FAFSA, and brings students one step closer to fulfilling their educational goals.”

Attendees will also entered into a drawing to win one of 10 $1,000 scholarships.
Students are encouraged to attend the event with their guardians. Completed 2015 IRS 1040 tax returns, W-2 Forms and other 2015 income and benefits information are required to fill out the FAFSA.
