Explosion in Auburn Damages Truck, Police Investigating

                 


AUBURN, Ind. (WOWO): Auburn police, along with state and federal authorities, are looking into an explosion that damaged a truck.


According to Auburn police, the explosion happened around 6:00 a.m., Tuesday morning on West Ensley Avenue. Police say the blast happened in the cab of the pickup truck as all the windows were blown out of the vehicle with the windshield being blown approximately eighty feet away. The roof of the cab was pushed upward and creased. The explosion also broke out windows in the building it was parked in front of. Police believe the explosive device had been placed inside the vehicle.


The owner of the vehicle was working inside his garage at the time of the explosion, but luckily no injuries were reported. However, the pickup truck is no longer drivable.
