FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Eight people are facing charges after being connected to a counterfeit pull tab operation where the fraudulent pull tabs were being used to trick bars into paying out prizes.

According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, all eight are believed to be involved in the scam that spanned across 10 Indiana counties and hit 42 bars.

Police say in total, the bars paid out $21,154 due to the scam. The bars were located in Allen, Steuben, Wells, Adams, Huntington, Howard, Tippecanoe, St. Joseph, Elkhart, and Marion counties.

The following are facing 5 felony charges of corrupt business influence with underlying racketeering activity of theft, forgery, and fraud and level 6 felony charges of forgery:

38-year-old Jason Green

22-year-old Burke Baughman
