East / West County Roads Drifted Over

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Major snow drifts made for a tricky commute.

As northern Indiana, northern Ohio and southern Michigan finish a Winter Storm Warning that dropped over 10 inches of snow across the area, deputies with the Steuben County Sheriff's Office warn that east and west county roads are drifted over. They say that four wheel drive vehicles are able to pass, but passenger cars will struggle.

Many area schools have closed in preparation for the current conditions. County Highway plows were advised not to start in full until 5 a.m. and anyone else is asked to use extreme caution when traveling. They say that it's best to delay work if possible until the plows have reached county roads.
