East Noble School Board Approves $38.8 Million on New School

KENDALLVILLE, Ind. (WOWO): Thursday night, the East Noble County School Board approved spending a maximum of $38.8 million toward a new middle school in Kendallville.

According to our partners in news at 21Alive, the district voted against the new school in 2014, and after last night's decision by the board, anyone who's opposed to building a new school has 30 days to gather signatures, and turn them into the county clerk.

If the petition is filed, the measure would go onto the November ballot and could potentially effect property tax caps for local residents.

Without the petition, construction can begin this summer on the site at Drake and Weston roads on the west side of Kendallville.
