Early morning crash kills two, injures one

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A crash that happened on Bluffton Road early this morning has left two people dead and a third in the hospital.

Police were called to Bluffton Road just north of Yoder Road at about 4:18am after two SUVs collided head-on and found three victims, one of which was pronounced dead at the scene, another of which died while on the way to the hospital.

The Allen County Auditor’s Office identified the victims as 36-year-old Jonathan Zeigler of Indianapolis and 37-year-old Gregory Mitchell of Ossian. The cause of death for both individuals has been determined to be Blunt Force Trauma, and the manner of death ruled an accident.

The third victim, a female passenger, is reportedly in critical condition at an area hospital. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
