Early 2015 Crucial for Proposed Indiana Reservoir

ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) – Supporters of a proposed reservoir on the White River in central Indiana say the first few months of 2015 will be crucial to determining whether or not the $450 million proposal moves ahead.

Corporation for Economic Development executive director Rob Sparks tells The Herald Bulletin (http://bit.ly/1DZPjUA ) a Phase II feasibility study for Mounds Lake project should be released in the first quarter of 2015 and include “a collective decision to pursue the project or not move forward.''

Sparks says elected officials will then have to step up because his group cannot “take it to the next level.''

The next step would be forming a 12-member commission of area leaders who Sparks says would plan for the development, financing and construction of the proposed 2,100-acre reservoir.
