Driver Crashes Into School Bus, No Students Harmed

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  The first night of snowfall in Fort Wayne caused many hazards for drivers, including an accident with a car that stopped short of an intersection and hit a Fort Wayne Community school bus.

Around 7 a.m. Monday morning, a woman driving north on Smith Street couldn't make a quick stop on the icy roadways and drove past the stop sign and into the intersection at Oxford Street, striking a school bus.  From there, the vehicle spun around and struck the back end of the bus, causing damage to the bumper.  The driver, along with the four students on board were not injured.  The woman driving the car had minor injuries and didn't require a trip to the hospital.

It took about a half hour, but the students were able to catch another bus to school.
