Downtown Ice Arena Reports High Numbers for 2014-2015 Season

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Headwaters Park Alliance is reporting a good season for the downtown ice arena in Fort Wayne.

This is the 11th year the rink has been open and today, the city saw it's 250,000 skater come to the rink. Last year, the season ended with 231,000 skaters.

Every year, the rink averages about 20,000 skaters until the season ends in March.

This season, the rink opened on November 22nd and on Sunday, the alliance awarded their 250,000th skater with a gift basket and season pass until the rink closes on March 1st.
