FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man who won the Democratic nomination for Marlin Stutzman’s congressional seat won’t have his party’s support come November.
Tommy Schrader got 37.5% of the vote Tuesday in the Indiana Democratic Primary, despite not doing any fundraising or public campaigning. Now the Indiana Democratic Party tells the Journal Gazette they won’t be supporting him when he faces Jim Banks for the seat, going so far as to congratulate Banks, a Republican, on his victory.
The Party isn’t saying why they won’t back Schrader, but it might have to do with a recent voicemail Schrader left the paper saying he supports Donald Trump for President.
It’s not Schrader’s first political attempt; he’s gone after the same Congressional seat three times, and has run for Fort Wayne Mayor, City Clerk, and City Council.

Another example of the “party” thinking they’re smarter or better than the voters.
