DeKalb Windmill Restrictions Move Forward

A recommended change to a DeKalb County ordinance could put new restrictions on windmills. According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, the DeKalb County Plan commission approved the recommendation Wednesday.

It would require a wind mill to be at least 1,300 feet from property lines, road right-of-ways, and overhead utility lines.

Current regulations only require wind mills to be 400 feet from those restricted areas.
