INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ A judge has given an attorney for an Indianapolis man accused of shooting his ex-wife outside a daycare center more time to request a gag order after the attorney missed a court appearance.
Christopher Justice's attorney is trying to keep the alleged victim of the February attack from doing a television interview.
Attorney Jackie Butler had filed a motion asking the court to bar victim Shirley Justice from discussing the case on TV. It wasn't immediately clear whether the interview already has been recorded, and if so, what effect a gag order might have.
When Butler missed a Marion County court hearing Wednesday, Judge Grant Hawkins declined to rule and instead gave her another day to file an emergency motion.
