Dedication Set at Memorial of 1994 plane crash

ROSELAWN, Ind. (AP): Relatives of 68 people who died in a commuter plane crash in northwestern Indiana will be gathering to dedicate a new memorial wall on the 20th anniversary of the crash.

The new wall includes bricks engraved with the names of the passengers and crew members killed when American Eagle flight 4184 crashed on its way from Indianapolis to Chicago amid icy weather Oct. 31, 1994, in a farm field near the town of Roselawn.

Jennifer Stansberry Miller of Fishers, Indiana, had a brother who died in the crash and helped organize the wall's construction. She tells the Post-Tribune that the families are grateful for volunteers who've maintained a memorial of 68 crosses at the site but it is time for a permanent remembrance that will be dedicated Friday.
