INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): Six Indiana communities have been selected as finalists in the 2014 Stellar Communities Programs. Three of them are in northeast Indiana.
Decatur, Marion and Wabash join Huntingburg, Mount Vernon and Nashville. The communities were selected by several Indiana Agencies. Each will prepare an in-depth Strategic Investment Plan and be visited the selection team.
According to a program press release, winners receive funding as well as educational and technical support to make those plans a reality.
The program includes Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA), the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA), and the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT).
