Dangerous Plant Found in Northern Indiana

KOSCIUSKO, Ind. (WOWO): The DNR says a dangerous plant has been found growing in some parts of northern Indiana. It’s called giant hogweed and, while it isn’t deadly, it can cause blindness and severe skin irritation just from touching it. The DNR is working to remove the plant, which can be identified by its height and white flowers. If you see something that you suspect may be giant hogweed, call the DNR hotline at 1-866-663-9684.
