SEYMOUR, Ind. (AP): A Cummins Inc. office building in southern Indiana remains closed after it was the site of a workplace murder-suicide last week.

Company spokesman Jon Mills said Monday that some Cummins Seymour Technical Center employees have started coming back to work at other company locations.

Mills tells The (Seymour) Tribune that the company is allowing those employees to return at their own pace.

Columbus-based Cummins closed the technical center after Thursday morning’s attack in a meeting room of the center attached to the company’s Seymour Engine Plant. Police say 37-year-old Qing Chen of Seymour fatally shot his direct supervisor, 49-year-old Ward Edwards of Columbus, then himself.
