Crews Install Santa in Downtown Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

That's because the historic Wolf and Dessauer lighted Santa Claus is going up at the PNC Building downtown. It should be completed by Thursday or Friday.

Greg Finner, with Shambaugh and Sons, has been involved with the project for years. He says he never gets tired of helping give Santa a boot up.

“It's a job I enjoy. It's hectic at time,” Finner says, “I enjoy it because so many people enjoy it. It's a nice thing.”

It's a Fort Wayne tradition dates to the Depression when St. Nick and his reindeer hung from the Wolf and Dessauer Store.

The display will be lighted Wednesday, Nov. 26 as part of Downtown’s Annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony and other events downtown.
