Crash turns fatal in Mercer County after truck strikes motorcycle

MERCER COUNTY, Ohio (WOWO) – One man has died after a fatal motorcycle crash in Celina, Ohio Wednesday.

A 20-year-old was driving a 2004 Chevy Silverado pickup truck, traveling eastbound on Mud Pike when he attempted to turn north into his driveway just after 3:40 p.m.

While turning, the Silverado struck a westbound motorcycle, driven by James Hart, 71 of Celina.

Hart was airlifted from the scene to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, where he later died from his injuries.

This is the second fatal crash in Mercer County this year.

The crash is still under investigation.
