Crash Knocks out Power on N 100 E. in Warsaw

WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): Two people were injured and taken to the hospital on Sunday after crashing into a utility pole with a van, causing power in the area to go out for several hours.

It happened just after 4 p.m. on N 100 E. near the North Winds Housing Addition in Warsaw.

One witness said the van flipped through the air and struck the utility pole and a fence, before the vehicle came to a stop. The driver of the vehicle was taken by ambulance, while the passenger was taken by helicopter to be treated for their injuries.

The crash caused power in that area to be out for over 5 hours.

The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
