County Treasurer’s Attorneys Want Charges Dropped

MUNCIE, Ind. (AP): Attorneys for a central Indiana county treasurer want charges that he mishandling public money dismissed, arguing that other officials who've done the same thing haven't been prosecuted. Delaware County Treasurer John Dorer was charged in April with 47 counts, 44 of which involve failing to deposit public money within 24 hours as required by state law.
