Council Approves Legacy Money for Downtown Redevelopment Project

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne City Council approved the use of $6 million in Legacy Fund money Tuesday for Phase 1 of the downtown redevelopment project, that according to The Journal Gazette. Although the vote was unanimous, several council members were concerned over the designs and possible funding sources. A portion of the money is expected to go toward riverbank cleanup and environmental studies.
