Council Approves Infrastructure Projects

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne City council gave the green-light to more street and sidewalk improvements that will pave the way for major infrastructure projects this summer.

The council approved more than $4.7 million dollars in street improvements.  It's the first stage of about $30 million dollars of street projects. They also approved $1.4 million in street repairs and water main replacement for Southwick Village just off Paulding Road.

Some parts of that project could get under way as soon as next month, and be completed by November.

The project could start next month and should be finished up by the end of October.
