Corvette Stingray to be Pace Car for Indy 500

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): The 2014 Corvette Stingray will be the pace car at this year’s Indianapolis 500. It’s the 12th time a Corvette will lead the traditional 33-car field around Indy’s historic 2.5-mile oval. The car will be painted Laguna Blue Tintcoat and the only modifications from the car sold to the public will be the safety features. The engine will not be altered.
