Community Invited to Join Mayors Day of Recognition for National Service

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Mayor Tom Henry is joining more than 2,000 mayors across the country for the third annual Mayors Day of Recognition for National Service, and Mayor Henry is inviting you to be apart of the day.


The Mayors Day of Recognition for National Service is a nationwide effort that recognizes the positive impact of service in cities.

 

For this year's day of recognition, Mayor Henry is encouraging residents to help clean up Lakeside Park at 3:00 p.m., on April 7.

I am glad to see Fort Wayne participating in this wonderful effort to make one of our community’s landmarks, Lakeside Park, look great for the start of spring,” said Mayor Tom Henry. “Thank you for the hard work from Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation, Fort Wayne’s Volunteer Center and CANI’s AmeriCorps. I invite the public to be part of this effort.”
