More than 1 million dollars of community grants have been awarded by the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne.
ACRES Inc.: $15,000 to support the attainment, conservation, and management of nature preserves.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana: $27,000 for youth mentoring programs pairing adults with youth.
Boy Scouts of America – Anthony Wayne Area Council: $20,000 for programs designed to prepare young people for leadership.
Center for Nonviolence Inc.: $25,000 for intervention and prevention services to men, women, and youth to end domestic and other forms of violence.
Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana Inc.: $50,000 for food distribution to more than 90,000 individuals through several programs.
Community Transportation Network: $35,000 to help provide low cost transportation to seniors, those with disabilities, and economically disadvantaged families.
Euell A. Wilson Center: $25,000 for academic programs designed to reinforce positive youth development skills.
Fort Wayne Ballet Inc.: $10,000 for outreach and arts programs as well as the Ballet’s performances.
Fort Wayne Museum of Art: $15,000 for the arts and arts education programming in Allen County.
Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation: $15,000 for the Lifetime Sports Academy and Percussion Arts, free programs for underserved youth.
Headwaters Park Alliance Inc.: $10,000 to help support the outdoor ice skating rink.
Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana Inc.: $40,000 to reach Allen County students with K-12 Economic Education Programs.
League for the Blind and Disabled Inc.: $25,000 for programs that assist individuals with disabilities to acquire the skills to increase independence and to remove architectural, attitudinal, and systemic barriers in the community.
Neighborhood Health Clinics Inc.: $25,000 for medical and dental services to low-income, uninsured patients.
Super Shot Inc.: $20,000 for the childhood immunization program in Allen County.
Volunteer Lawyer Program of Northeast Indiana Inc.: $10,000 to support Allen County residents in need of civil legal services and referrals to volunteer lawyers.
YWCA Northeast Indiana Inc.: $35,000 for domestic violence, refugee/immigrant, and racial justice services.
