Then it gets colder.
Weather service meteorologist John Hendrickson says temperatures will drop into the lower teens Tuesday morning and then get no higher than 5 degrees on Wednesday. Temperatures will fall as low as 10 below zero in much of the northern half of the state on Thursday and closer to zero farther south.
Hendrickson says that later in the week, there may be a bit more snow in parts of the state but the amounts won't be significant.
