Claypool Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Armed Robbery

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A Claypool man has been sentenced to 10 years in jail on charges of robbery with a deadly weapon.


A Kosciusko County Superior Court Judge sentenced 31-year-old Daniel Ybarra Jr. to 10 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections with the final two years suspended and on probation.


On April 24, 2014, Ybarra committed an armed robbery at the Lassus Handy-Dandy in Warsaw. Ybarra's girlfriend helped officers find the gun used in the robbery. It turned out to be a pellet gun.


The Kosciusko County Superior Court Judge said the maximum sentence for this crime could have been 20 years.
