City Facing 11-Million Dollar Deficit

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Balancing an 11-million dollar budget short-fall, Fort Wayne City Council is looking at ways to close the gap before the end of June. Proposals now include budget cuts and tax increases. Right now, a few options include reducing employee benefits for spouses, changing sick pay, and adjusting overtime hours. According to our partners in News at 21Alive, that plan alone could trim about $3 million from the short-fall. The city will hold hearings June 11 and 18.
