City of Angola enforces snow removal ordinance

ANGOLA, Ind. (WOWO) – The City of Angola is enforcing a snow removal ordinance, which begins at 8 a.m. Friday, February 9.

Angola residents have 24 hours to remove their cars from the streets, in order for street department crews to properly plow the snow.

Due to ongoing snowfall, residents may need to move their vehicles multiple times in order to keep the streets clear.

After 24 hours, unmoved cars will be red tagged if snow has accumulated around them. The red tag means the drivers have 24 hours to move their vehicles before the Angola Police Department will have it towed at the owner’s expense.

Broken down cars will still be red tagged and/or towed.

For questions, comments or concerns, contact the Angola Police Department at (260) 665-2121.
