City and County Reach Agreement on Business Property Tax

The City of Fort Wayne and Allen County government have reached an agreement on a property tax break for business. According to the Journal-Gazette, local government leaders say the changes will help create and retain jobs locally. Using a point system, the more high paying jobs a company creates, the longer it delays property tax to be phased in. The plan also includes investments for new equipment at businesses.
