Chrysler Donates $500,000 to Downtown Kokomo’s YMCA Project

KOKOMO, <st1:state w_st=”on”>Ind. (WOWO): A generous donation of $500,000 dollars from the Chrysler Group LLC, to the Kokomo Family YMCA, brings the YMCA’s multimillion-dollar construction projection one step closer to construction.

YMCA Executive Director Dave Dubois says, Chrysler made the half-a-million dollar gift to the YMCA’s Beyond the Bricks fundraising campaign.

“I am extremely pleased that Chrysler shares the YMCA’s commitment to our community by making this generous gift,” said Dave Dubois. “This donation helps advance downtown Kokomo’s largest redevelopment project, and we are confident it will have a significant impact.”

The Kokomo Family YMCA plans to build a new 73,000-square-foot facility, as part of a major downtown redevelopment plan.
