Chicagoan IDed as Man Shot Dead by Indy Police

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Indianapolis police have identified a Chicago man as the suspect who was fatally shot by officers as he tried to flee from a weekend robbery.

They said Monday that 22-year-old Terrell Lucas fled from a GameStop store Saturday night when officers interrupted a robbery and was shot when he pointed his gun at officers.

No officers were injured.

Two other Chicago men _ 21-year-old Jalil Hannah and 23-year-old Walter Fells _ have been formally charged by the Marion County Prosecutor's Office with murder, robbery and criminal confinement and are being held in the Marion County Jail with no bond.  Online jail records do not indicate whether they have attorneys.

Police say the officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative duty.
