Check your registration to ensure you can vote

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Mike Braun vs. Senator Joe Donnelly. Congressman Jim Banks vs. Courtney Tritch. These are two of the biggest races Fort Wayne natives will be voting on come next Tuesday’s November midterms.

In order to cast your ballet though, you need to make sure that your personal information is up to date. Common Cause Indiana Policy Director Julia Vaughn says that if you head to indianavoters.com, you should type in the name you are registered to vote under and all of your information should pop up. In the case that your name does not appear on the screen, you should call your county board of voter registration.

Vaughn says that the, “bad news” is, if they cannot find your name in their system, it is too late to re-register to vote, but there is a “fail-safe” provision in Indiana that protects you if you were mistakenly removed.

Vaughn went more into detail on specific instructions to abide by in order to re-register yourself and you can hear her full conversation with Fort Wayne’s Morning News host Kayla Blakeslee by clicking here.
