FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Andrew Cassaday was sentenced to 65 years in prison Friday for his role in a deadly 2016 shooting outside a Fort Wayne restaurant.
The Journal Gazette reports 29-year old Cassaday will serve 55 years for murder and 10 years for use of a handgun in a crime.
Cassaday was found guilty last month of shooting and killing 28-year old Jeffrey Lute outside the Texas Roadhouse on West Washington Center Road on August 14th, 2016. The shooting occurred after a dispute between a motorcycle club Cassaday was a part of and Lute in the restaurant’s parking lot.
Prosecutors say Cassaday shot and killed Lute after Lute shot one of Cassaday’s friends in the leg.
