Campus Expansion Planned for Saint Francis

Fort Wayne, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – The Univesity of Saint Francis is expanding its campus. The university plans to build a 12,000-square-foot, two-story building at the south end of Bishop D’Arcy Stadium.

The new building will boast a conditioning and fitness center for athletes and a space for group parties. There will be a visitor’s locker room on the first floor. The second floor will have an open-air viewing area for fans to watch the Cougars take on their opponents.

Andrew Prall, Vice President of Academic Affairs at Saint Francis, says the complex will be open to all students, although it will primarily be used by the football team. Prall says adding a fitness area to the new complex will allow other students more access to the camups’ other workout room.

A meeting before zoning officials will take place in March. Construction could begin in April with the center opening before the Cougars begin play in September.
