Cameras in Construction Zones and School Buses Address Safety Concerns

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A new bill would allow cameras to be put into construction zones and school buses due to safety concerns.

According to our partners in news at 21Alive, the cameras would enforce work zone speed limits and crack down on drivers who illegally pass school buses while the arms are extended for passengers.

Allen County Sheriff Dave Gladieux told 21Alive he's not on board because the cameras barely catch the silhouette of the car, making the instance difficult to site.

In the United States, 14 states use cameras to monitor speeding while 16 states have banned the cameras.
