Butler Factory Building Catches Fire, 8 Departments Called to Scene

BUTLER, Ind. (WOWO); The former Butler Plant burned down yesterday in DeKalb county.

According to our Partners in News at 21Alive, the large factory building caught fire before 7 p.m. on South Broadway street, south of the railroad tracks.

It took crews from eight departments, over three hours to control the fire. No one was inside the building and the cause has not yet been determined. 

The Butler factory was known to have made windmills and airplane parts in the 1930s.
