Bridge Connecting Trails Set To Be Replaced In Aboite

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A bridge that is part of the Fort Wayne network of trails is set to be replaced this morning.

Last August, a flash-flood rain storm washed away the bridge that connects the neighborhoods of Haverhill, Liberty Hill and Burnham Woods to the Village of Coventry near the Aboite branch of the Allen County Public Library. The trail was connected over a natural drain over the Graham-McCulloch Ditch, and the price tag of $34,987 to replace the bridge was funded by Tax Increment Financing through the Coventry Lane Economic Development Area.

In all it stretches 40 feet long.
