Robert Lewis (pictured) escaped from the Randolph County Jail early Monday morning.

RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): An inmate escaped from the Randolph County Jail this morning.

According to police, Robert Lewis was last seen wearing a yellow jumpsuit around 3:20 a.m. He is described as a white male, about 5'6″, weighing 185 pounds.

Lewis was cleaning the jail lobby when he ran out the front doors while a jail officer went to the bathroom to empty the trash. He was held at the jail for Burglary.
