FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police are investigating reports of a possible standoff in the 900 block of W. Washington Boulevard near Broadway. According to Mike Joyner, spokesman for the Fort Wayne Police Department, that area is completely shutdown as they were told a man with a shotgun is held up inside an apartment.

Tactical crisis teams and hostage negotiation teams have been called to the scene. Meanwhile, officers are asking that you avoid downtown while authorities are investigating and traffic is being diverted.
