BREAKING: Pence to Sign “Religious Freedom” Bill Thursday

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): The “Religious Freedom” bill will soon become law.

Governor Mike Pence plans to sign the legislation Thursday. According to the Indianapolis Star, the measure will be signed in a private ceremony.

The religious freedom restoration act passed in the General Assembly Tuesday. Opponents say it would legalize discrimination, notably against homosexuals and it sends an unwelcoming message  about diversity.

Supporters say the federal government and 29 other states passed similar bills. They add there's no evidence in those states, the law has been used to justify discrimination.
