BREAKING: Major Crash Closes Intersection of Carroll and Hand

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A total of 5 young people were involved in an early morning crash on the city's northwest side. Around 7:30 Thursday morning, police and emergency crews responded to the crash at the intersection of Carroll and Hand roads, just west of Carroll High School. Jeff Bowman with our partners in news at 21 Alive tells us that an SUV containing two people pulled out into the path of a car, causing a crash in the intersection. One of the individuals in the car, containing three people, was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition, and another was taken to the hospital by ambulance in serious condition. Three were treated at the scene. We'll have more information as it becomes available.
