Body Pulled from Plane Wreck Identified as Indianapolis Man

LEBANON, Ind. (AP) – A central Indiana coroner has confirmed the body of a man found in the wreckage of a plane a week ago was a 58-year-old Indianapolis man.

Boone County Coroner Shon Hough said Sunday that he had used dental records to identify the remains of pilot Glenn Foy. His body had been pulled from the wreckage on Tuesday.

Searchers using cellphone and radar data on April 12 found the wreckage of Foy's small two-seater plane, which had been missing since taking off from Eagle Creek Airport in Indianapolis on April 3. Authorities said the airplane apparently nose-dived into a rural field southwest of Lebanon.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
