PIKE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): The body of a missing woman has been found by Indiana Conservation Officers.
UPDATE from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources: “An autopsy was completed this afternoon at the Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office. The body has been identified as Cathryn, (Catie), McGill. The cause of death has been ruled a drowning.”
On December 29th, 2013 a vehicle was swept away by flood waters into the White River. Both Adam and Kathryn McGill were inside. Adam was able to escape, however Kathryn was unable to be found.
Around 1:45 p.m. on Friday a local resident discovered the body lying on top of corn stalk debris near the mouth of a creek that feeds the White River.
