Body Found in Whitley County Cornfield, Identified

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): The body found in a Whitley County cornfield over the weekend has been identified.


According to, Randy Dellinger the Whitley County Coroner, the remains of 33-year-old Scott Vogan of Fort Wayne, were found on Sunday, November 16.


Whitley County police say a farmer first found an abandoned vehicle while harvesting a cornfield. The farmer then discovered human remains a short distance from the vehicle. Upon further investigation, police learned that the vehicle was connected to a missing person report that was filed in late August 2014.


According to Dellinger, no foul play is suspected in the death of Vogan.
