Body Found in Fort Wayne Alley Identified

Update: 

An autopsy was performed this afternoon on the body of a black male who was pronounced dead at the scene of a reported shooting around 8:30 last night on Reed between Eckart Street and Drexel Avenue.

He is being identified as Ramareo Booher, age 19, of Fort Wayne. Autopsy findings are that he died of gunshot wounds.

Booher is the 29th homicide victim for Fort Wayne and Allen County this year.  

In the meantime, the incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne police.

The body of a young man was found last night in an alley on Fort Wayne’s south side. Police got a call just before 9 p.m., about a person lying in an alley off of Reed Street, between Eckart Street and Drexel Avenue.  Investigators say the victim was male, between the ages of 16 and 25.  A autopsy was being performed to determine whether or not the victim had been shot and to determine the exact cause of death.  Anyone who has any information is asked to call Fort Wayne police.
